Merchant Platform Terms
These terms describe the relationship between LaventTech and a café/F&B merchant using the platform, with a focus on how payments are intended to work.
Software platform
LaventTech provides a software and POS platform. LaventTech does not currently claim to be a bank, payment institution or card acquirer.
Merchant is the seller
Each merchant sells its own products to its own customers, sets its own prices, and is the seller of record. The merchant is responsible for fulfilment, refunds, disputes and legal compliance.
How payments are intended to work
Integrated payments are planned and provider-neutral until a provider's model is confirmed.
Each café applies for and owns its own connected payment account. The payment provider verifies the merchant. Customer payments are processed for that merchant. Payouts go to the merchant's own bank account.
LaventTech may later charge a clearly disclosed software or platform fee. LaventTech does not currently advertise negotiated payment rates or a payment-provider partnership.
Separation
Merchant payment accounts and settlements remain separate to each merchant. LaventTech does not pool merchant funds.
Changes
Payment terms will be updated once a payment provider's model is confirmed and approved.
