Merchant Platform Terms

Software platform

LaventTech provides a software and point-of-sale platform. LaventTech is not a bank, a payment institution or a card acquirer, and does not hold or settle merchant funds.

The merchant is the seller

Each merchant sells its own products to its own customers, sets its own prices, and is the seller of record. The merchant is responsible for fulfilment, refunds, disputes and legal compliance.

How payments work

Each merchant applies for and holds its own account with the payment provider or terminal provider it uses.

That provider verifies the merchant and applies its own onboarding requirements.

Customer payments are processed for that merchant, and payouts go to that merchant's own bank account.

The provider's own terms, fees and rules govern that relationship. LaventTech does not advertise negotiated payment rates on that provider's behalf.

Separation

Merchant payment accounts and settlements remain separate to each merchant. LaventTech does not pool merchant funds and does not act as an intermediary for them.

Fees

LaventTech charges its own subscription and service fees, as set out on our Pricing page and in the merchant's order. Any platform fee LaventTech charges in future will be disclosed clearly and in advance.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform and its payment options develop. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last updated.
